Volunteering supports disabled people to live independently in their communities.
Our volunteers provide wide ranging support depending on the need of the disabled person. We offer a range of volunteer services to our service users including befriending, gardening and an administrator work experience.
Our befriending+ service aims to reduce social isolation and provide practical support such as escorting, shopping, and assisting with using a computer. This service usually involves regular visits and assisting with whatever activities a disabled person wants to undertake.
Our Gardening Service matches volunteers with disabled people who need assistance with their gardens. Helping a disabled person to keep their green spaces accessible and vibrant is extremely rewarding.
We aim to keep these services as open as possible because we recognise that empowerment, independence and social inclusion will mean different things to everyone different people.
We are not able to provide personal care, cleaning or anything that should be covered by a person's care package.
If you or someone you know about someone who may benefit from this service then feel free to contact us directly for any information about this service for you or a third party.
