Choice in Hackney is looking for two employees to assist with its new Choices into Work project. The Project is intended to aid the employment prospects of disabled people.
The Job Coach will be an instrumental part of the project, supporting our clients to find and undertake a 12 week work placement in disability advocacy or related fields. The post holder will spend a great deal of time encouraging trainees to pursue their vocational and educational goals. The post holder will also establish work placements. We are looking for a candidate experienced in supporting disabled people in an employability setting. We require someone with the skills and attitude to motivate disabled people and help them realise their potential.
The Advocacy Mentor will be responsible for mentoring and supporting advocacy trainees on placement and advocacy volunteers. They will be undertaking advocacy casework and encouraging volunteers to do the same. We are looking for someone with experience of advocating for disabled people. We are looking for someone who will empower trainees with the skills and experience of advocacy works.
These roles will be essential to our goal of supporting disabled people back into meaningful employment.
